Justice4Heroes Engages with Bay Veterans Association on Military Deafness Awareness

In an inspiring initiative aimed at supporting former military personnel, Justice4Heroes representatives visited the Bay Veterans Association in Morecambe yesterday morning. The event was organised to address a growing yet often overlooked issue among veterans: military-related hearing loss. Despite meeting with only a small portion of the association’s extensive 400-member community, the visit had an immediate impact, helping several veterans begin the process of assessing potential claims related to military deafness.

Hearing loss, or deafness, related to military service is an issue that affects thousands of veterans across the UK. For many, it is a direct result of exposure to high-decibel environments during service, such as artillery fire, explosions, and aircraft noise. Veterans often find themselves navigating post-service life with compromised hearing, facing challenges in accessing adequate support and understanding the benefits available to them.

During the visit, Justice4Heroes outlined its mission to help veterans assess their potential for filing claims. Veterans who attended were able to ask questions, receive guidance, and connect with resources that could aid them in understanding the benefits they are entitled to. The event brought clarity to an often complex claims process, empowering veterans with the knowledge and resources needed to pursue compensation.
